I’ve been working on this post for a little bit now, but I haven’t gotten around to posting it until today! If you’ve followed me on Instagram, you’ve probably heard about my recent strain of bad luck. Nothing major, but I did have my laptop CRASH, and a contact stick to my eye ball which had to be removed at the eye doctor. A bunch of other minor things happened as well that I won’t get into, but I’ve pretty much avoided everything for the last week or so. You know, don’t want to tempt lightning to strike or anything 😉.
Things have gradually sorted themselves out, and I’m back to blogging (with my new MacBook Air)! I’m kind of in love with it now. But, and maybe this is due to our society’s pressure on women as a whole to remain ‘young and supple’ forever, it is almost as if a switch turns on. I haven’t quite hit thirty, so I’m not really even sure what it’s like. But I’ve witnessed many other friends hit the milestone, and while it may be a day of jokes and laughter, there seems to be a certain sadness that comes with turning thirty. It’s one of the dreaded ages for women.
I originally wrote this list at the age of 23 or 24, with the hope that I could somehow make a plan for my young 20-something self (somehow, even with a husband and kids) to remember all the things I hoped to accomplish and attempt by the age of thirty. So without further ado…
